Providing effective mental health support for older adults residing in long-term care settings is crucial due to the unique challenges they face. This course aims to equip mental health professionals, specifically social workers, with the necessary knowledge and skills to address these challenges and foster an integrated approach toward supporting individuals with mental health concerns. Understanding the impact that mental health issues have on older adults within a long-term care setting is essential for providing appropriate interventions and support systems.
