Successful completion of this course prepares and qualifies you to sit for the NJ DHSS state exam to become a Certified Assisted Living Administrator or an Adult Day Care Administrator.
This Course Provides:
Skills and information that will offer you the edge in successfully managing an assisted living community and related senior facilities as well as practical tools and techniques to help you pass the NJ DHSS test.
Plus:
Meets state requirements to be an Adult Day Health Services Program Administrator.

Course Syllabus:
- Day One: Aging Process, Assessment and Care Plan, Nurse Delegation, Medication Management, Respite, Restraints, Quality Assurance Program
- Day Two: Assisted Living Values, Residents Rights, Required/Enhanced Services, Alzheimer’s Program Regulations, Budget/Financial Management
- Day Three: Environment of Care, Policy & Procedure/Documentation, Regulatory Compliance Issues, Managed Risk
- Day Four: Human Resource Management, Enforcement Regulations, Course Review, Final Test
Practicums:
(Note: These are completed on-site at a NJ Assisted Living community. Exact location TBD)
- Operations Practicum—8 hours (on June 5th)
- Clinical Practicum—8 hours (on June 6th)
Refund Policy:
Registrants can request a refund within two weeks of payment being made. An Administrative Fee of $150.00 will be applied and deducted from any refund made. Refund requests made by a registrant after the 2-week refund period will receive a refund of 90% of the fee paid.
Alternatively, instead of a refund a registrant can opt to use their course credit for the next scheduled course.
