The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) older adult faces many challenges in gaining acceptance and aging with dignity, respect and inclusion in the broader long term care community. This course presents these challenges and promotes opportunities for advocacy for the LGBT elder, as long term care professionals and organizations develop greater skills in assisting this ever-growing segment of the population. This course is designed for Social Workers and other health care other professionals who work with the elderly in the long term care setting.
